2023 Outstanding Members
Congratulations to Connie Hanson, our Outstanding Chapter Member for 2023. Connie was initiated in 2015. She is one of those quiet, gentle workers that gets the job done. She welcomes everyone at meetings with a smile and kind words. She has served as co-president, helped with Hillsides, and is currently keeping the chapter abreast of legislation and educational policies! Thank you, Connie!!!
Outstanding Area XIII Member 2023 - our own Pat Rabe!!!
Pat Rabe has been a member of Alpha Upsilon since 2014. During that time, she has served the chapter in several capacities including Co-President (2016-2018). A resident of La Crescenta, Pat taught at the high school level in the Glendale USD. She is always ready to let the chapter use her home for meetings. Pat has shared her artistic talents by providing programs for the chapter such as jewelry making. Pat chaired the Area XIII Conference on three different occasions. Her talent for organizing large events stems from her many years of organizing high school proms. Pat's abilities have helped create excellent conference speakers: a prison chaplain, author Lisa See, and during the pandemic, several members shared personal stories and special programs via Zoom. Area XIII thanks Pat Rabe for her willingness to share her talents and go above and beyond in supporting the Area!
Honorees at the DKG California Convention 2022
Judy Kearns
CA DKG Distinguished Service Award 2022
We honestly don’t know how our chapter could survive without Judy. When we don’t know about a procedure or anything to do with DKG, the next statement is always, “Just ask Judy. She will know what to do.” We are so PROUD of you, Judy! You are a role model for all of us. |
2022 Outstanding Member
Congratulations to ANA HASKINS for receiving the honor of Outstanding Member 2022. She has demonstrated her commitment to the DKG Purposes since 2007 in many ways. Whether she shares her monthly inspirations or is presenting her educational expertise at conferences and DKG conventions, she is evidence of one who endorses and guides women educators. She has a great sense of humor and is always welcoming and radiates hope and enthusiasm.
